Vanderbilt Biostatistics

useR! 2022 is hosted by the Department of Biostatistics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Founded in 2003, the department is home to more than 45 faculty members and nearly 60 staff biostatisticians, bioinformaticians, data scientists, analysts, and application developers. Its faculty, staff, students, postdocs, and alumni have collaborated with colleagues around the world on numerous R projects in the quest to advance personalized health through cutting-edge medical research. In addition to offering instruction in R through university coursework, the department also runs the Summer Institute at the Center for Quantitative Sciences, organizes programs such as the Statistical Computing Series, and maintains other resources to assist biostatisticians, clinical investigators, and other scientists and healthcare providers in fulfilling the mission of Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
